As most consumers know, in the past decade, there has been a rival to traditional incandescent Christmas lights-LED bulbs. When LED Christmas lights were first sold in 2007, depending on the manufacturer, they were inconsistent in quality and were clearly not as bright as incandescent Christmas lights.

But how does an LED Christmas light compare to today’s incandescent? After nearly a decade of improvements in LED technology and manufacturing, LED Christmas lights have surpassed incandescent lights and become the new standard for performance and efficiency in the following five ways:

1) Energy consumption. The technical differences between incandescent and LED bulbs greatly affect the energy they consume. Incandescent technology uses electricity to break the filament, cause it to burn and emit light, and waste a lot of energy, because as the filament burns, it also generates heat. LED lighting technology passes current through a semiconductor material that illuminates tiny light emitting diodes (LEDs). Most of the heat generated is absorbed inside the bulb. This is why LED Christmas lights are up to 90% more energy efficient than incandescent Christmas lights.

2. Cost-effectiveness. The high cost of LED lights is an obstacle for some consumers who cannot explain why they are paying more. Consumer reports compared LED bulbs and Christmas incandescent bulbs to determine the 300-hour comparative cost of a 50-foot string. They found that although the cost of each string of LEDs is higher, their operating costs are lower: 1 to 3 kWh of energy, compared to 12 to 105 kWh for incandescent lights, and the overall cost savings of LED Christmas lights is $ 1 to 11 . Period of use.

3. Brightness. When LED Christmas lights were first introduced on the market in 2007, they were much brighter than incandescent Christmas bulbs. Improvements in today’s LED bulbs have made them the same or higher in brightness than incandescent bulbs. In addition, LED Christmas bulbs naturally produce full-spectrum colored bulbs compared to the more restricted spray paint bulbs that convert incandescent white light to colored bulbs.

4. Cool to touch the bulb. Incandescent light bulbs not only waste energy by dissipating heat into the atmosphere, but also hot incandescent light bulbs can cause fires and burns to humans, children, and pets over time. In addition, the plastic housing of LED Christmas bulbs virtually eliminates the danger of incandescent bulbs damaging the glass. And from an environmental perspective, less carbon dioxide is produced when less energy is consumed.

5. Longevity. LED technology is more durable and has a longer life. The Consumer Report research report mentioned that the life spans of incandescent and LED Christmas bulbs were also compared earlier. These LED lights are still working after more than 4,000 hours, and one or more bulbs burn out before each incandescent string is used for 2,000 hours. Obviously, LED Christmas lights need much less replacement bulbs and string lights. Although the lifespan of most LED bulbs is between 25,000 and 75,000 hours, it depends a lot on the manufacturer, the weather conditions used, and the time they are exposed outdoors.

LED technology has revolutionized the Christmas lighting industry. The fundamental differences and benefits of today’s LED technology from incandescent light bulbs may be just as important as the benefits of incandescent Christmas light bulbs provided using Christmas candles in the early 20th century.

At Ninghai Haohua Electronic&Electric Co ,Ltd ., we are committed to using only high-quality, high-performance, energy-saving Christmas lighting products. For the above five reasons, we only use LED Christmas lights. We are a professional China manufacturer and supplier of LED holiday light . Welcome to buy: https://www.nhhx.net/
